TRAVEL

Good morning?

How are you?

Well, Tsukiji Honganji temple is on the other side of Tsukudajima island across the Sumida River.

In fact, there is a deep relationship between Tsukiji, famous as fish market,  and Tsukudajima.

You say,

It was the fishermen of Tsukudajima island that landed the place where Tsukiji Honjin is now.

Why could fishermen who were not even engineering experts reclaimed landfill?

That is because the people of Tsukudajima island had reclaimed the place to live and the place to stop their fish boats by burying the shallow sea by themselves.

Honji temple was burnt out  by large fire in 1627,

it could not have been allowed to rebuild the temple in the same place.

The place that I was forgiven was on the sea.

It is the current Tsukiji.

It is terrible to give a sea without land for making new building.

Fishermen in Tsukudajim felt sympathy for troubled Honjiji temple.

Then,

The fishermen of Tsukudajima island, they had technology to reclaim shallow seas, was inspired.

“We will make land!”

So, there is still a statue of the boss of Tsukudajima island in Tsukiji Honji temple still now.

By the way, Tsukiji Honji temple built a new type of grave  on the left side,

The statue seems to be moved.

The grave of a new type seems to be a permanent grave for single people.

I think that it is about 300,000 yen.

However, once you put into the bones, you can not move out.

How was it?
