夏の暑い日、
かわり屏風体験をしてきました。
場所は、東京スカイツリーのおひざもと、
片岡屏風店さんです。
Hot summer day,
I have been experiencing making Japanese screen.
The place is near from Tokyo Sky Tree,
It is a Kataoka screen shop.

入ると、沢山の屏風がありました。
When entering, there were many folding screens.
材料は、厚みのある板2枚と和紙と糊です。
まず、和紙を切ります。
The material is two pieces of thick board,
Japanese paper and glue.
First, cut Japanese paper.
糊で、互い違いに貼ってゆきます。
paste them alternately with glue.
模様を貼ります。
paste a picture.
今回は、1面だけ模様を張りましたが、
白い2面に別の模様を張ると、3つの柄を楽しめます。
This time, I pasted only one side,
If you put another pattern on the white two sides, you can enjoy three patterns.
実は、一番楽しかったのは、
ワンちゃんたちです。
制作途中から、「キャイ～ンキャイ～ン」の声。
終わった途端に、師匠が扉を開けると、
ワンちゃん集団がドカンと入ってきて、
大型犬から小型犬まで、
キュンキュン、人懐っこいのなんのって。
可愛かったです。
To tell the truth, the most enjoyable thing was,
They are dogs.
From the middle of the work, the voice of “Cai – n – kai – yin”.
As soon as the teacher opens the door,
A group of dogs came in,
From large dogs to small dogs,
They were so friendly.
It was cute.
