まさか、こんなにも自宅待機が続くとは、思ってもいませんでした。I never thought I would have to stay at home for so long.

実際にお目にかかって、お話させていただくことが、どれほどありがたいことだったか、これまでの普通だったことが、今となっては、あまりにも贅沢なことだったように思える日々です。How grateful I was to be able to actually meet and talk to you, what used to be normal now seems so extravagant every day.

さて、小津和紙やさしい書道のお教室は、いつから再開できるかわかりません。Well, I don’t know when we will be able to resume the Ozu Washi easy Calligraphy class.

そこで、今月から、しばらくの間、お手本と、参考動画をこちらのプログにアップいたします。So, from this month onwards, I will be uploading homeworks and a reference video on this blog for a while.

郵送での通信添削も考えましたが、人の手を介さない方が、今はより安全度が高いと思いますので、完全オンラインでご受講いただけるように工夫してまいります。I have thought about correcting by mail, but I think it is safer not to use human hands now, so I will devise to make it possible to take the course completely online.

課題は、私が所属しております書道芸術院の月例競書誌から出題いたします。新しい本を手に入れるにも、物流が滞ったりしております。この競書誌は私の手元に毎月届きますし、オンラインでも掲載されます。幸い、 課題内容は充実していて変化に富んでおりますので、皆様にも楽しんでいただけると思います。最初は、レベルが高いと感じるかもしれませんが、徐々に慣れます。大丈夫です。The assignments will be submitted from the monthly competition magazine of the Academy of Calligraphy, to which I belong. Even getting a new book has been a logistical hiccup. This competitive booklet arrives in my hands every month, and is also posted online. Fortunately, the content of the assignment is rich and varied, and I think you will enjoy it. At first, you may feel that the level is high, but you will gradually get used to it. No problem.

書道芸術院の競書誌は、次のリンクからダウンロードできます。毎月、初旬に最新号がアップされます。私が手本を準備できないうちは、こちらをご参照なさって、先に予習をしていただくこともできますので、ご利用頂ければと思います。 You can download a copy of the Magazine at the following link. The latest issue of the magazine will be up at the beginning of each month. If I can’t prepare an example for you soon, you can refer to this file and do some prep work.

では、課題の提出方法です。Now, here’s how to submit your assignment.

下記、いくつか手本を掲載いたしましたが、どれを練習されても良いです。Below are some examples, but you can practice any of them if you like.

ただし、最終的に御提出されるときには、お好きな課題を２つに絞り、各課題１枚ずつ一番良くできたものを選んで写真を撮り、メールにてご提出ください。もし、3つ以上の課題を御提出される場合は、追加料金とさせてください。公平のため、ご協力よろしくお願いいたします。 However, when you finally submit your work, please narrow it down to two assignments of your choice, choose the best one for each assignment, take a picture of it, and send it in by email. If you are submitting more than 2 assignments, there will be an additional fee. In the interest of fairness, thank you for your cooperation.

もし、皆様の中で、ご自身の段級を取得したい方がいらっしゃったら、競書誌を定期購読頂いて、毎月期日までに御提出なさってください。本に掲載されたり、昇級しますと、大変励みになります。If any of you would like to obtain your own grade, please subscribe to this book and submit it by the due date each month. It is very encouraging to be published in a book or to be promoted.
